The course is suitable for complete beginners as well as master potters. It is designed to give you comprehensive knowledge of Anagama kiln building, stacking and firing.

Moretonhampstead is situated in the heart of Dartmoor National Park and is known as the gateway to the moor.

A week packed with excellent information, good company and superb lunches.

Building the kiln
Participants should bringat least ten bisque fired pots of suitable clay for stoneware temperatures.
 
Programme:
Arrive Friday afternoon.Slide show and discussion on kiln building and firing.
Saturday and Sunday kiln building.
Monday and Tuesday kiln stacking.
Start firing Tuesday night.
Fire through until Thursday night.
Friday and Saturday kiln cooling, demonstrating and visits to other potters.
Sunday morning unpack and take home your pots.
